Rabbi Gotch Yudin

Rosh HaYeshiva

Rabbi Yudin has over thirty years of experience in Jewish formal and informal education. Before founding Ashreinu, he served as Assistant Principal and Director of Admissions at the Frisch School, and Director of Camp Morasha. He graduated with a BA in Psychology, an MA in Education and Administration, and received his Semicha all from Yeshiva University.  Rabbi Yudin has spent recent summers in Camp Lavi and NCSY's TJJ Israel Program. Beloved by all of his talmidim, Rabbi Yudin's energetic spirit and humor instills our students with a love of Torah, Eretz Yisrael and Am Yisrael. He lives in Beit Shemesh with his wife, Ruthie, and lovely children and grandchildren.

Rabbi Mike Sohn

Executive Director

Originally from Teaneck, NJ, Rabbi Sohn graduated from Frisch and after two years in Israel, he continued his learning at Yeshiva Madreigas HaAdam, graduated from Queens College with a degree in Economics and later, became a musmach of Rav Zalman Nechemia Goldberg z"l. He was the founding Director of Yeshiva Heichal Yisrael, a post-Israel learning program for college students in Queens, N.Y. After teaching at various schools in New York, he made aliyah with his family and became the Av Bayit at Yeshivat Reishit. After serving as Menahel at Ashreinu for 4 years, he is now the  Executive Director, overseeing the overall program and institutional advancement of the Yeshiva. Rabbi Sohn spends his summers at Camp HASC, where he is the Director of Operations.

Rabbi Jeff Wohlgelernter

Mashgiach Ruchani

Rabbi Jeff Wohlgelernter was born and raised in Long Island, NY. After learning in Ner Israel Rabbinical College for six years and getting a degree in psychology from Johns Hopkins University, Rabbi Wohlgelernter came to Eretz Yisrael to learn under the great gaon Rabbi Moshe Shapiro z"l. While there, he met his wife Shoshana, and married in America. After working in Kiruv in Australia for 2 years, they became the Rabbi and Rebbetzin of a startup shul in La Jolla, California. 34 years later, they left behind a congregation of nearly 300 families, an eruv, a mikvah, 2 high schools and a beautiful building to return to live and teach Torah in Eretz Yisrael. Rabbi Wohlgelernter is currently the Rov of Beis Medrash Mishkafayim (BMM) in Ramat Beit Shemesh, and Mashgiach Ruchani at Ashreinu. Rabbi “Wogi,” as he is affectionately known, is an enthusiastic teacher whose goal is to inspire his talmidim to seek more.

Rabbi Binyamin Pfeiffer

Menahel

Rabbi Binyamin Pfeiffer, was born and raised in Teaneck, New Jersey where he attended MTA and then Yeshivat Shaalvim for two years. He returned to Yeshiva University where he pursued his bachelors in psychology and studied for semicha in RIETS. While in YU, he was the Madrich for True Freshman on campus and served as the Rabbinic intern at Keter Torah. After making aliyah, Rabbi Pfeiffer completed his semicha at YU’s Gruss Kollel and taught at Torah Shraga. He was previously the Director of Boys Sports at Camp Mesorah and has been involved in NCSY for many years.

Rabbi Moshi Atlas

Rabbi Moshi Atlas was raised in the UK. He has lived with his wife and 4 children in Ramat Beit Shemesh since 2015. After receiving Semicha from Rabbi Yitzchok Berkowitz Shlit"a and a foundation in Machshava from Rabbi David Aaron Shlit"a, Rabbi Atlas has been involved with higher Jewish education since 2013. Rabbi Atlas works as an Educational Psychologist during the day and teaches in the evenings at Ashreinu night seder. Particularly fond of Jewish philosophy, psychology and Chassidic/mystical works, he has been challenging his Ashreinu students to deepen their appreciation of Judaism since joining the team in 2020.

Rabbi Raffy Duskis

Rabbi Raffy Duskis grew up in the suburbs of Atlanta, attended Yeshiva Atlanta High School and was a champion wrestler on their varsity team.  He then attended Yeshiva Gedola of Bridgeport and the famed Chaim Berlin Yeshiva's Gur Aryeh Kollel.  After making aliyah in 2010, he joined the Chatam Community Kollel in Rechovot, delivering daily shiurim in the morning Kollel, and most recently founded a new kehilla for the flourishing young olim of the city.  When not in his Rabbinical garb or with his head in a non-fiction book; he can be found cooking vegan cuisine, planting flowers and vegetables, running, biking or having fun with his 5 children and wife.

Rabbi Josh Goldstein

Rabbi Josh Goldstein is a vibrant presence at Ashreinu, bringing a rich tapestry of experiences and passions to his role as Night Seder Rebbe. Having grown up in Florida, Rabbi Josh's life journey led him to Be'er Sheva, Israel, where he completed his high school education. He remained in Israel to continue his Yeshiva studies, and for many years was a madrich and mashpia at Ashreinu and Mevaseret. Music holds a special place in his heart, and he can often be found strumming his guitar with enthusiasm. With a contagious sense of humor, Rabbi Josh brings joy to those around him, embracing laughter and a penchant for the ridiculous. His deep-seated passion for Jewish History is evident in his exploration of the teachings of Chassidic masters and mystics, a subject he approaches with fervor and dedication. Rabbi Josh currently resides in RBS Aleph with his wife and their adorable baby boy, Avi.

Rabbi Avraham Yeshaya Hirsch

Rabbi Hirsch comes from an illustrious family of Rabanim, dating back to the great leader of German Jewry, Rav Samson Raphael Hirsch. Born and raised in Monsey, N.Y, Rav Hirsch moved to Israel over 30 years ago, where he became a close chassid of The Lev Simcha - Rav Simcha Bunim Alter, the 6th Gerrer Rebbe. For the past 3 decades, Rav Hirsch has been teaching Torah to boys of all ages and backgrounds. Rav Hirsch is also a Magen David Adom EMT, and serves as the lead safety and quality control coordinator for events of the Chassidic Court of Gerrer. After living in Yerushalayim for many years, Rav Hirsch currently lives with his family in Ramat Beit Shemesh Bet.

Rabbi Noam Horowitz

Hailing from the Five Towns and a graduate of Rambam, Rav Noam learned in Yeshivat Har Etzion in The Gush and at Yeshiva University under the guidance of Rabbi Michael Rosenzweig. Rav Noam then embarked on a journey of teaching and community leadership. From Denver, Colorado, where he taught at the Denver Academy of Torah and directed youth programming at EDOS, to Toronto, where he served as the Mashgiach Ruchani of Yeshivat Or Chaim and Rabbi of Kehillat Ayin L'Tzion, Rav Noam's impact has been felt far and wide. Known for his tremendous warmth, positive disposition, and unwavering dedication to his students, Rav Noam treasures every moment of learning and growth with his talmidim, aspiring to be an Eved Hashem in all aspects of his life.

Rabbi Matt LeVee

Rav Matt LeVee grew up in the Bay Area and then moved to Chicago. After graduating from the University of Illinois with a BA in Philosophy and Sociology and a minor in being an AEPi brother, he recieved semicha from RIETS and an MA in Education from Azrieli. Before making aliyah, Rav Matt was a rebbe and administrator at YU in the JSS program and the Rabbi of Shenk, YU's Community Shul. Rav Matt currently lives in Ramat Beit Shemesh Aleph with his wife and kids.

Rabbi Avi Rodan

Born in Jerusalem and raised in the Gush, Rav Avi attended Yeshivat Hesder Netivot and served in a combat unit in the IDF. After receiving a BA in music from The Rubin Acadamy of Music, he taught in many schools, worked as a youth director and as a counselor for teens at risk. He and his family then moved to Los Angeles for 4 years for Shlichut, representing Bnei Akiva and the WZO. Rav Avi then returned to Israel and now lives in Efrat with his beautiful family. Rav Avi is the Director of Chessed, overseeing Ashreinu's dynamic Chessed program, as well as a Shana Alef Rebbe. He can be found hiking, running, playing his guitar and inspiring our talmidim.

Rabbi Dovi Shenkman

Rabbi Dovi Shenkman has a Bachelors in History and Business from Yeshiva University, a Masters in Education from Azrieli School of Education, and a Masters in Social Work from Wurzweiler School of Social Work. Before making Aliyah, Rabbi Shenkman was a Rebbi in Sinai, a special Education school in Teaneck NJ and the Youth Director at Congregation AABJ&D in West Orange NJ. Rav Dovi has spent the past few summers as a Division Head at Camp HASC, along with many of our alumni. Rav Dovi teaches a shana alef morning shiur, shana bet afternoon shiur and runs the night seder program. He is a Yad Vashem certified Holocaust educator and leads Ashreinu's yearly trip to Poland. He currently lives in Ramat Bet Shemesh with his wife and children.

Rabbi Shimon Sofer

Rabbi Sofer was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia. He attended Yeshiva in Manchester, England and continued on to Israel at the Mir Yeshiva for the next 15 years. While studying in the Mir, he received Semicha from various batei dinim in Israel including the Raabanut, the Eidah Chariedit and R' Zalman Nechemia Goldberg. Rav Sofer is the CEO of Kav Halacha, the 24 hour worldwide Halacha hotline for English speakers around the globe. He currently runs the Shevet Halevie Halacha Kollel in Ramat Beit Shemesh and teaches Shana Bet afternoon seder at Ashreinu. Rabbi Sofer is known for his high level halacha and machshava shiurim and enjoys and connects with the students on a personal level, continuing relationships and learning with them even after they leave Yeshiva.

Rabbi Dr. Yosef Topek

Rabbi Dr. Topek holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. After obtaining his Smicha at Hebrew Theological College and receiving his MEd from Loyola University, he continued to build on his leadership record and also holds a Jewish Day School/Yeshiva Principals’ Certificate from the Jewish Education Leadership. Rabbi Dr. Topek also serves as the Internship Director for a Counseling Program in Jerusalem, has a private practice in both Beit Shemesh and Jerusalem, and spends his summer together with his family in America at Camp Morasha. Yosef lives together with his wife and 5 children in the Mishkafayim neighborhood of Ramat Beit Shemesh Aleph.

Rabbi YY Wenglin

Rav Wenglin grew up in Scarsdale, N.Y, earned a BA in History and Literature at Harvard University and a JD at the UCLA School of Law. After working at a Manhattan law firm for 2 years, he moved to Jerusalem, where he started taking introductory classes at Aish HaTorah, eventually becoming a teacher in the Essentials program. Rabbi Wenglin was the Director of Education and Executive Director at Yeshiva Lev Yisrael and is a sought after lecturer at college campuses and community-based outreach programs across America. He is currently a popular teacher at many yeshivot and seminaries. Rabbi Wenglin has been teaching Jewish Thought at Ashreinu since its inception, and has been teaching a Shana Bet gemarah morning shiur for the past 5 years.
